a unique small business founded by a passionate Deaf & CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) team who share a deep love for culture and a flair for craftsmanship. Our Story

Board & Measure was born out of a need and desire to give Elijah (Mark’s son) items that symbolized our culture around our home. The journey really began when friends and family started encouraging sharing the things we made with the rest of the world.

Our founders, who are deeply immersed in the Deaf community, wanted to create something tangible that would empower Deaf individuals and ASL enthusiasts to express themselves and their identity through unique, handcrafted items.
